The theme of this year’s Conference is “Not Forgetting the Forgotten”. In this regard, we will be focussing on military veterans, families (and particularly children) who are facing grief following a terminal diagnosis, and our elderly community. We have an excellent line-up of speakers and it will be an good learning opportunity for all.

 The Provincial Grand Master has also given permission for the Conference to include the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant. Most Brethren will be aware that this was signed by Grand Lodge earlier this year, but each Province has been encouraged to make their own enduring commitment to those who are; or who have served in the Armed Forces. We are fortunate to have secured the attendance of Air Vice-Marshall The Honourable David Murray CVO OBE who is also Deputy Lieutenant for Suffolk. The Province would encourage the attendance of all military personnel, past and present to witness this historical moment. Military medals are encouraged and military uniform is optional.

 The Conference will be followed by a delicious Sunday Lunch which will be supplied by Roffs Caterers. Booking forms will be issued at the beginning of September so please put the date if your diaries and inform your Lodge Almoner that you wish to attend.

The attendance of those members mentioned in the ‘Who Should Attend’ section are particularly encouraged but this event is open to all the members of your lodge, and their partners, who wish to attend.
